As part of the delivery of the Future Farm Resilience Support programme the Wight Rural Hub will be offering 1 to1 farm visits by our team to work through with you the impact of the agricultural transition on your farm business and to make you aware of what opportunities are available to you under existing and future schemes.
This takes the form of a representative joining you onsite for an initial visit of approximately 3 hours.
During the visit there will be informal discussion around your current business, roles and aspirations for the future, and the agricultural transition and impact on your business.
Following the meeting, you will be provided with a bespoke report including financial impact projections and SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity and threat) analysis, signposting to further support or useful organisations and the establishment of action points.
There are opportunities for up to two follow-up sessions to discuss the progress towards achieving your action points and the opportunity to answer further questions or queries.
The meeting is an information gathering exercise; please have as much documentation to hand as is possible, e.g., accounts and current grant information, particularly Basic Payment records and current stewardship scheme (if applicable). The clearer picture we have of your interests, the more insight we can provide.
