Event Details
Join the Garlic Farm at their restaurant for presentations from industry experts Becky, Jess, and Neville, exploring the symbiotic relationship between greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity, and profitable production.
Becky will demonstrate a practical but powerful tool to measure on-farm emissions and dispel myths about carbon efficiency. Jess will highlight the urgent need for biodiversity protection as an integral part of agricultural success. Neville will share examples of balancing emissions and ecosystem services alongside production.
Whether you’re an active farmer, land manager, or simply interested in the food system, please come and help us explore how agriculture can be part of the solution to achieving net-zero goals. The topics raised will be hopefully relevant to all those who eat food! Becky from Farm Carbon Toolkit is making the trip over from the mainland especially, with many thanks to Isle of Wight National Landscape’s support.
The evening is free to attend though booking is essential.
