  • Signpost business opportunities and the availability of specialist advice and support 

The aim is to help Island farmers and land managers to make their businesses more resilient and to take advantage of future opportunities and funding; … turning national policy into local opportunity. 

We work in collaboration and partnership with Island stakeholders to add value in support of IOW farmers and land managers.

Wight Rural Hub are putting on fully funded Hedge Assessment Workshops on Wednesday 16 October 2024 @ Great Park Farm, Betty Haunt Lane, NEWPORT PO30 4HRThere are 2 sessions running at 9am or 12 midday.Good hedge management practices can help to maintain the ecological, social, and economic benefits of hedgerows. Wight Rural Hub's Hedge Assessment workshop includes a practical demonstration of how to undertake SFI actions for hedgerows (HRW1), discussing requirements and what they aim to achieve.
